Friends of the Hound Inc.

Friends of the Hound Inc. is a not-for-profit, volunteer based association dedicated to the welfare of Greyhounds. This involves promoting the breed as excellent family pets and companions, and advocating ‘adoption, not destruction’ by rescuing Greyhounds and rehoming them into suitable, permanent homes as much-loved pets. The group’s mission is to save the lives of Greyhounds and reduce the mass wastage that currently occurs due to a commercial racing and gambling industry. Greyhounds make great pets, and these gentle, friendly, affectionate dogs have perfect potential for suburban homes and families suffer from wide misconceptions and face exploitation and destruction in vast numbers. Friends of the Hound Inc. work tirelessly to help these dogs and continue their successful rescue and rehoming efforts.
