42kms Closer to a Cure

STOP THE PRESS………. Thank you to the 200 plus people who attended my quiz night in April. Through your support and generosity we raised over $9,000!
Your continued support means the world to me!
 
As a child growing up, I always believed that each person could make a difference. Each and every one of us has the power to achieve. With this philosophy, I completed my university degree, became a Chartered Accountant and have travelled the world.

Last year, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. For a while we faced the fear of the unknown as he underwent surgery and follow up treatment. We have been lucky that his cancer has been treatable and he is now well.

But, in going through this experience, I realised that cancer knows no boundaries. It affects young and old, men and women and every nationality.

I want to make a difference!

So, in November 2011, I will be travelling to the Big Apple, to run the New York Marathon in support of the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation. 1 in 2 Australians are impacted by cancer. The Cure Cancer Australia Foundation supports cancer research that makes a difference to thousands of lives.
Here is where we can help make a difference - I'll run the 42km New York Marathon, all that will be required by you is that you dig deep and sponsor me (the easy part) in my effort to get 42kms closer to a cure.
